Woolschool - Sunflower Willow Weaving

Requirements: None.  Can bring cutters, protective tight fitting glove & hand cream if desired.

DESCRIPTION:

Participants will weave a Sunflower using willow.

AIMS OF WORKSHOP:

To make a hanging willow Sunflower, an introduction to willow weaving. Master willow techniques, use of tools and materials. Develop motor skills, participate in a mindful activity using natural materials.

TUTOR’S BACKGROUND:

Eirian makes baskets from home grown and Somerset willow. Her work can be recognised by her use of Welsh tweed trim, organic gentle shapes and the use of driftwood. They are made for gathering, carrying and storing and her best seller is the unique patterned backpack. She has been tutoring and running workshops for four years.
