TUTOR’S BACKGROUND:
Ann has spent the past ten years exploring the art of traditional button-making, from Dorset Buttons and Zwirnknöpfe to other intricate passementerie styles. Living in the quiet countryside of Herefordshire, she enjoys the slow, mindful process of creating something small but full of history and character. For Ann, button-making is as much about connection as it is about craft – linking past makers to today’s hands and bringing people together through shared creativity. As a trustee of the Ewyas Harold Craft Centre, she helps keep local craft traditions thriving, and through the courses she runs, she loves passing on both the skills and the stories that make these buttons so special.
