TUTOR’S BACKGROUND:
Kath Andrews lives in North Wales with her wife and regularly takes inspiration from the Welsh landscape, language and traditions when designing. Her designs have been published in the UK (The Knitter and Knit Now) and US (Knit Picks) since 2012. Kath previously taught music full-time until 2018 and has been teaching knitting through workshops and one-to-one classes for over a decade. Her patterns are clearly written and cover a wide range of knitting skills from designs that gently introduce knitters to a specific technique to those that challenge and intrigue. Kath’s designs include lace, brioche, cables and various types of colour-work, and she loves interesting construction.
